The Tiring And fun Run, Jump, Throw

Kia ora, this is all room 9 students at there last practice of shot put.We also practiced running, jumping and trowing techniques because the whole sport was called run, jump, throw. For running we practiced running starts and how to run faster, for jumping we practiced jumping starts and how to jump further, and finally for throwing we practiced how to throw further for discus we also did shot put and practiced the same thing as discus. I had to say a speech to our coach Declen last.

The Great Film Festival

Hola everyone, this is Room 9 doing a selfie right after the film festival. When we were watching the films I noticed that some of the films were giving us some advice about how to keep healthy and how to keep lice away.My favourite film was the Focuser, it was about water keeping you focused. Talofa Lava, this is a comment that I have wrote. This is also what we have been learning in cyber smart with Mrs Grant. When Mrs Grant checked this comment she said that it was perfect and specific, she even said that she didn't have to change anything. I was very proud of me. How would you feel ?

Creeping, Crawling, Eating Pumas

I learned how to write a cinquain poem. I added words that described a puma. My favourite word I used was creeping. When pumas hunt for food they creep up to their prey very quietly.

The beautiful cherry blossum trees

This is room 9 at the Botanic Gardens sitting and looking under the cherry blossom tree. The cherry blossoms were my favourite because they were beautiful and pink. We talked about and drew different flowers. We read most of the signs that we walked past.

Top 14 Facts About Kangaroos

When we where learning about Kangaroos I learned all sorts of different facts about them.We found 25 facts in one kangaroo book. I only wrote about 14 facts. My favourite fact is learning that kangaroos have giant feet.

Top 41 Polar Bear Facts

I've learned 41 facts about polar bears but I picked 14 of my favourite facts to share with you.  Miss Misela was reading the facts and we had to  write it on the board. All of the information was from just one book. One of my favourite facts was that they are ten times heavier than us. 

Our Special Garden

I learned that nurturing the garden means we have to water it everyday. Our garden is slowly growing in the bright warm sun. I take care of our garden everyday, in the morning on Monday.

My Amazing Zooooooooooo Trip

At the zoo we all learned that if Faith the hippo wanted her territory safe, she had to poo around her territory so that when a predator tries to kill the hippos, the predator will smell the poo and run away.

I learned how to use persuasive language to write an advertisement about buying a fictional book. I learned if you want to convince someone to buy your product you need to be smart, funny and wise with your words.

About My Six Word Summer

My six word summer was about the things I do in summer. I like relaxing in pools because it is hot in summer. Sometimes I lie in the shade when i'm in the pool because the waters to cold. I like to sit in the cozy shade because I run around heaps and I get sweaty. I eat ice cream because it cools me down when i'm hot. Sometimes I just eat ice cream because I like it and it's sweet. My favourite flavour is vinilla and hokey pokey.

You need to buy these shoes because they're what you’ve dreamed of. They are the most comfortable shoes in the world. They glow at night and they are indestructible. There are three buttons on the side of it, one button makes your feet warm, the other massages your feet and the last button makes you fly. It’s only $40 dollars!!! Get in quick or else they're all gone!!!

We learned how to persuade people to buy our product by creating an advert. I wrote about a pair of shoes that have three special buttons. My teacher said she was convinced and wanted to buy my shoes. Mission complete!

My Way To Create A Strong And Unique Password

I have been learning to create a unique password and a strong password no one will guess, Don’t use information about you and use capitals, numbers, lowercase, a song lyric and a poem. My top tip for making secure password is never use information about you.

Hola Amigos

My name is Tristan and I am 9 years old. I go to Ruapotaka Primary School. My teacher’s name is Miss Misela.

My mums name is Sandra and she is Niuean and, my dad’s name is Michael and he’s European. I have two brothers and their names are Nicholas and Sio and I have two sisters and their names are Lily and Ofa.

My favourite sport is rugby league. I play for Ellerslie Eagles. I am the co captain for my team, I am the fastest person and my position is winger. We’ve won 12 games and lost 2 games. We’ve lost against Glenora and Pirates. Next year I want to be captain by being brave and practicing my defence.

My learning goal for maths this term is to practice my 6, 8 and 12 times tables. My learning goal for reading is to move to the highest group Harry Potter, and this is my favourite NRL player, Shaun Johnson.
